7.     Constitution & By-Laws Committee Report

        a.    Approval of interpretive language was tabled at the last meeting until Gary Thune had an opportunity to review and respond. I will have his written opinion at the meeting.

8.     Benson County Commissioners Request

        a.    Attached is a letter from the Benson County Commissions requesting a waiver of the transfer rule due to flood issues.

9.     Coaching Box Recommendations

        a.    Through District Chair and Athletic Review recommendations, the Board approved the establishment of a coaching box for basketball.  The Board asked the staff to bring forward a recommendation at a future meeting.  Through a survey conducted by Coaches advisory, the recommendation is for a 14 foot coaching box beginning at 28 feet from the baseline and ending 14 feet from the baseline.  Since this is a regulation, Board approval of the details is necessary.

10.  Track & Field Sites

        a.    Regional track & field sites need to be determined.  Staff will have recommendations and invites for the Board to consider.

11.  Fine Arts Committee Report

        a.    Scott Ulland is committee chair and will report on the committee meeting.  Committee agenda is attached.

12.  Concussion Procedure

        a.    Attached is proposed language for the NDHSAA Concussion Procedure.  The changes are in response to statute language.

13.  Officials Committee Report

        a.    The Officials Committee will provide a report concerning a letter received from Devils Lake High School.

14.  Grand Forks Request

        a.    Attached you will find supporting documentation requesting a waiver to allow two Grand Forks students to compete in a similar athletic contest during the high school season of that sport. Article XIV, Section III, part a of the NDHSAA Constitution & By-Laws is the reference.

15.  Strasburg HS Request (11:00 audience)

        a.    Attached is a letter form Daren Kurle, Supt at Strasburg requesting Board consideration to allow a transfer student to be eligible for varsity competition.

16.  Five-year Calendar

        a.    The Board approved the development of a five-year calendar at the request of our Tournament Committee and Venue Managers.  The calendar is attached for your review and approval.
