Student Congress Officials and Judges

Starting with the 2011-12 school term, all fine arts judges need to complete an online rules clinic in their area in order to be placed on the certified judges list. Fine arts managers and judges have received increased scope in determining rules and handling appeals. Therefore, it is important to our schools that we ensure professionals have up-to-date information.

Coaches:

Beginning in 2010/11, fine arts rules clinics will be offered online. Online clinic completion is mandatory for head play director, head speech coach, head debate coach, head student congress coach, head vocal, strings, and instrumental music directors (if there is more than 1 position) from each high school music department within the clinic window.

There are no make-up rules clinics. A fine arts activity advisor must attend/complete one of the clinics per activity listed in this schedule.  Penalty for failure to fulfill a mandatory clinic requirement shall result in a $50 fine to the school for the first offense and a $100 fine for each subsequent offense during same school year. Fines must be paid prior to being permitted to participate in NDHSAA post season activities to which the fine applies.

To access rules clinics, log in to MVP, click on My Profile, click on Officials Registration, scroll down the page to find your activity and click the name of the rules clinic.

***To be placed on the certified list, judges must create an MVP account and request the 2011-12 judging role for which they have a completed clinic(s). Valid email addresses must be used in MVP account creation or update. This is the way judges will receive information from NDHSAA. All judges may take clinics during school windows or throughout the season. Coaches will be placed on the certified list(s) upon clinic completion and appropriate judge role request. Certification lists will be updated and posted periodically throughout the year.
