2011-12 State Debate Results
The 99th Annual North Dakota High School Activities Association Debate Tournament was held at Fargo South High School on Friday and Saturday, February 3-4, 2012.
The top 5 teams are as follows: 1st – Davies with 48 points, 2nd –Fargo Shanley with 46 points, 3rd – Grand Forks Central with 39 points, 4th –West Fargo with 25 points, 5th –Fargo South with 19 points.
The coach of the year as elected by her peers is Gayle Hyde, coach at Fargo South.
Individual place winners in each division are as follows:
Division I Lincoln-Douglas Debate -- 1st place– Rose Picklo of Grand Forks Central, 2nd place – Catherine Cho of Davies, Semi Finalists – Maneesh Apte of Davies and Chase Johnson of Shanley, Quarter Finalists– Brett Johnson of Shanley, Samantha Sheldon of Davies, Taylor Nelson of Grand Forks Central and Samantha Helland of Wahpeton.
Division II Lincoln-Douglas Debate – 1st place – Siddharth Gupta of Davies, 2nd place – Steven Emmons of Grand Forks Central, Semi Finalists – Karishma Mistry of Shanley and Shivani Guduru of Davies, Quarter Finalists– Chelsea Ausk and Britten Croves of Central Cass, Shanley Roach of Shanley and Kati Krchnavy of Fargo North.
