2011-12 State Hockey Tournament
The NDHSAA sponsored Boys’ and Girls’ State Hockey Tournament will be held at the Ralph Engelstad Arena (REA & Olympic) and Purpur Arena, Grand Forks, February 23-25, 2012. Todd Olson, Athletic Director of Grand Forks Public Schools, will be the tournament manager.Thursday, February 23, Quarterfinals begin at the Ralph Engelstad Arena at 10:00 a.m. with boys’ action on the Arena ice. Girls competition will start 11:00 a.m. on the Olympic ice.
Friday, February 24, semifinal and consolation action begins with boys’ consolation play starting 9:30 a.m. on Olympic ice. Girls’ semifinal competition opens 1:00 p.m. at the Purpur with boys’ semifinals starting at 6:30 p.m. at the REA.
Saturday, February 25 contests begin with boys’ 5th place action 9:30 a.m. on the Olympic ice and girls’ title game will be 11:00 a.m. on Arena ice. Competition will continue throughout the day on Englestad, Olympic, and Purpur ice, concluding with the boys’ championship at 7:00 p.m. at the REA.
