8. Manvel Public School Request
a. Attached is a letter from Manvel requesting a waiver of the $500 late fee for coop item 6u. Also attached is a supporting letter from Grand Forks Public.
9. Strategic Plan
a. Draft 3 as determined at the last Board meeting is attached for Board approval.
b. Sample survey of member schools will be in the Board folders at the meeting.
c. General timelines as agreed upon are as follows:
i. August or Sept.—Board approves what is to be presented to membership
ii. September—survey member schools for feedback
iii. October—make adjustments and present to membership
iv. November—final approval of strategic plan
a. Larry Helvik will report regarding the committee discussion following a review of the existing television contract and putting together specifications for a new television contract.
a. Attached is a letter from Chris Samrau requesting the Board of Directors to look at the venues for state hockey in years 2013 thru 2015.
12. NDOA Report
a. The NDOA Board met September 9th in Valley City and discussed issues regarding regulation of officiating. Matt Fetsch will review the attached minutes at the meeting. The Board at this meeting will review all NDOA recommendations. We will then receive feedback from member schools and the Board will approve/deny at its October meeting.
13. Our Redeemer’s HS Appeal
a. Charles Strand, Supt. of Our Redeemer’s HS has requested an audience with the Board to appeal a hardship denial by the Executive Secretary. Documentation will be provided at the meeting.
a. Todd Olson, Committee Chair, will provide a preliminary report of region assignments for football schools. This report will be sent out to member schools and they will be given opportunity to request to play up a division until Sept. 30th. The final plan will require Board approval at the October meeting.
15. Redistricting Committee Report
a. Larry Helvik, Committee Chair, will provide a committee recommendation regarding realignment of Class B Baseball Regions.
16. Bismarck Public Schools Request
a. Attached is a letter from Dr. Jim Haussler, AD requesting Board consideration of a change in junior high regulations.
